BizCall's client, a high-growth, venture-backed SaaS company, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the growth of a dynamic product.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems using primarily Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Integrate with third-party APIs and services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
- Extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency with Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points (not required)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with other backend languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go).
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Prior experience in a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).

Location:
This is a 100% remote role. The ideal candidate will be based in North America and able to work EST hours.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $220,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
